WRITING GUIDELINES
Symptom Health Researches Journal Writing Guidelines
- General Rules
Articles submitted to our journal must conform to the writing template. Articles that do not conform to the writing template will be directly REJECTED without being considered for evaluation. When you paste your article text into the writing template in the correct format, it will automatically conform to the writing template.
Review and research articles submitted to the journal should be a maximum of 6000 words, case reports a maximum of 4000 words, and letters to the editor a maximum of 1000 words.
- Authors must add all necessary information, including English/Turkish Title, Author Name and Surname, Title, Institution Information, and Email Address, completely and accurately through the online system.
- Formatting Rules
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12 points
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Page margins: Left 3 cm, Right, Top and Bottom 2.5 cm
- Paragraphs:
- The first paragraph should be indented 1 cm.
- Subsequent paragraphs should not be indented.
Headings:
- Article titles should be centered, in uppercase, and bold.
- First-level headings within the main text (e.g., INTRODUCTION, RESULTS) should be in uppercase, bold, and unnumbered.
- Secondary and lower-level headings (e.g., Data Collection) should be bold, with only the first letter of each word capitalized, and numbered.
Text Alignment:
- The text outside the headings should be justified.
- Title and Abstract Rules
- The article title should reflect the content of the study and should not exceed 20 words.
- The title should be bold and centered.
Abstract Section:
- It should be between 150-250 words.
- It should be prepared in both the language of the article (Turkish, English) and another language.
- Following the abstract, at least 3 and at most 6 keywords should be listed alphabetically.
- Keywords should be separated by commas. Turkish keywords should be provided in accordance with "Turkish Scientific Terms" (www.bilimterimleri.com), and English keywords in accordance with "Medical Subject Headings (MESH)" (www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html). The Turkish abstract and keywords must be exactly the same as the English abstract and keywords.

Note:
- In case reports, the editor may request informed consent forms related to the case if deemed necessary. can.
- Table and Figure Rules
Table Titles:
- Should be left-aligned and placed directly above the table.
- The title should be written with only the first letter of each word capitalized.
- Table numbers should be in bold, and the captions in normal font (e.g., Table 1. Participant Profiles).
Table Contents:
- Font size: 9 points or larger
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Only horizontal lines should be used, and the design should be simple.
- Category headings should be in bold and italics.
- Figures and graphs should be used in appropriate places within the text, and the figure number and caption should be given below the text.
REFERENCES
The References section should be prepared according to the APA guidelines. References should be numbered 1, 2, 3, etc. at the beginning. References should be placed alphabetically in this section.
